Do I need to bring my own Yoga Mat?
No, we provide mat rentals for $5 dollars per person. We make sure to clean the mats for you after each lesson
Do you do private events?
Yes. We provide private events for team building for businesses, bachelorette parties, birthdays etc.
Are there hand washing stations and hand sanitizer?
Yes, absolutely!
Can I bring family members or friends to take pictures of my class?
No. Unless they want to pay for the class as well since we cap each session at 30 people to ensure that there is the perfect goat to human ratio and everyone gets goat time.
What breed of goats do you have?
Many types. We have Nigerian Dwarf Goats, who are around 30-40 lbs when full grown. We work with multiple farms that have other types as well.
Do you have rescue goats?
Yes! We have rescued 4 goats since we started Rocky Mountain Goat Yoga and we are always on the lookout for potential goats in need of rescue.
Do the goats have accidents?
Goats have small pellets, and from time to time they do make a mess on your mat. It’s not messy and you don't have to do anything about it, we'll pick it up for you. At RMGY, we sanitize all mats before, during, and after each 1 hour lesson.
Do you force the goats to participate?
No. The goats are not forced to stand on your back or do tricks. Our classes are not a required performance for them. The goats genuinely just prefer to be by humans and all they really want is to be pet and receive affection.
Will there be media?
There are times when the media will come out to film an event. You are under no obligation to be filmed. Each class is required to sign a media release form.
What is Goat Playtime?
Goat PLaytime is the time following the class where you get to snuggle goats, take goat selfies and have some fun with yoga poses alongside goats!
Where is the nearest airport?
The nearest Airport is Denver International Airport, which is about 45 minutes from our locations. Fun Fact: we brought goat yoga to the airport! see some of the media here.
Are the goats in a separate area while the class is happening?
No, the goats will be free to wander and snuggle up next to you.
Are there refunds?
No refunds within 7 days of an event. We are able to make special accommodations should you need to use your ticket for another date. Please contact info@rockymountaingoatyoga.com for all ticketing issues.
What type of Yoga do you do in the class?
It is an all-skills level yoga class. We are able to accomodate anyone from children to the elderly
Do I have to participate in the Yoga?
No. Some people just like to sit on their mat and snuggle goats.
How long is the event?
Our events are an hour long. 45 minutes of goat yoga followed by 15 minutes of playtime/ feeding and interaction.
Do your goats bite or headbutt?
No. Will they nibble at your zippers/buttons? Yes, but they’ve never destroyed anything. They’ve also never headbutted a human before. They just want to be pet and cuddled.
Is your service safe? Are there any risks?
Absolutely the only risk is that you get your clothes a little dirty. Make sure to wear something you don't mind rubbing up against a goat with!
Is this a form of Animal-Assisted therapy?
Yes. The focus of this class is not just to take pictures for Instagram. The focus is to combine nature, goats and yoga in order to disconnect with the stresses of life. Combining those three things is very therapeutic and works as a happy distraction from whatever you may be going through, whether that be depression, stress, disease, disabilities or anything.
Are your goats certified therapy goats?
No. Most of the websites selling tags for “therapy” animals are a sales tool for the company. Therapy animals do not need to be certified.
Do you need outside instructors?
Yes, if you are a yoga instructor, you can contact us for more information about helping out. We are happy to work with people who bring good vibes and are willing to be a part of the team.
Can kids come to the regular goat yoga lessons?
Yes, Goat Yoga is the perfect introduction to yoga for kids ages 4 and above. If you have an infant, you are welcome to bring them but we do not allow them to do yoga with the goats.
